We welcome abstract submissions via the IEB2026 platform on Oxford Abstracts. Through this page you can go to the abstract submission portal.

IEB2026 Abstract guidelines
First create an account with Oxford Abstracts. Note that IEB2026 will use the login email address to communicate with you about the abstract submission(s).
If you wish to withdraw your abstract, please contact info@ieb2026.eu. Please quote your submission ID when contacting us. This e-mail address can also be used for all other questions regarding the submission.
Access the submission form by signing in.
Required questions are marked with an asterisk (*). Please proofread your abstract carefully as reviewers cannot edit your abstract.
- The submission should contain novel data.
- There is no limit on the number of contributed abstract submissions from any one person or lab. Presenters may be limited in the number of oral presentations that may be accommodated due to scheduling.
- Type of presentation: oral/poster or poster only.
- Abstracts needs to be submitted in English.
- When submitting your abstract, you will be asked to identify your abstract’s primary category for review.
- Abstracts will include an overview of the research background, methods, results, and conclusions in text form only, no graphs or images are uploaded.
- The word limit is 350 words maximum per abstract. This word count does not include the title, co-author list or affiliations.
- Title should not exceed 20 words.
- In the title text box, enter the abstract title exactly as you wish it to appear in the Program/Abstract book.
- All information will be displayed and published exactly as it has been submitted.
- The abstract submitter is responsible for ensuring that all information in the abstract is exactly as all the authors wish it to appear.
- First assessment of the submitted abstracts will be done anonymously to prevent bias.
Spoendlin Junior Award
If you wish to be considered for the Spoendlin Junior Award you need to submit an extended abstract to the IEB2026 Organizers (info@ieb2026.eu) no later than 26 July 2026.
The Spoendlin Junior Award will be presented for the best extended abstract submitted by a young researcher, less than 35 years old.
The extended abstract must contain non-published original research, be between 1,000 and 1,200 words, and may additionally include figures with captions, as well as a graphical abstract.
The submission must be the entrant’s own research. When the entrant is not the sole author, a statement of consent and relative contributions must be provided with the submission.
The extended abstract will be selected by a jury of at least three experts. Jury members shall not belong to the same department of any of the entrants.
The winner shall present the research as a lecture at the Workshop. The Award includes a certificate of recognition and a cash award. The awardee will be informed by 18 August 2026.
